ZeroTrash is a social impact enterprise dedicated to creating a sustainable future through innovative waste management solutions and community empowerment. Since 2019, we have been actively engaged in the collection, segregation, and processing of recyclable waste in Sri Lanka, aiming to reduce landfill burden and promote circular economy principles.

Founded by social entrepreneur Hasanka Padukka, ZeroTrash has grown to be more than just a waste collector. We integrate technology, education, and partnerships to provide holistic solutions that turn waste into value — supporting environmental protection, economic development, and social well-being.

Our Journey and Operations

2019 – Launch

ZeroTrash started its operations as a recyclable waste collector, serving households, businesses, and communities.

Material Recovery Facility (MRF) Operations

We have developed customized solutions and operational modules for MRFs to:
